Baby Bob - 1-year old lapdog??

Well, here's Bob - now just over a year old.

He's not really allowed on the settee but it's OK if Andy, or me, is there first.

Bob is finding his voice now. He is not so timid as when he first came to Andy and Clare's house.

He has a deep, bass, and LOUD woof!  Very refined, in my opinion.

He's going to be MUCH bigger than dear departed MARLEY MOO, but not so much drool ... and so affectionate.

Happy birthday Bob, and many more of 'em!

He will be enormous! But a sweetie. And that's the main thing *smiles.

I can enjoy the heck out of a big dog, but, by god, if we ever get another dog, we're figuring on one small enough be carried under ones' arm. That would make him the size of Brewsky, who at a trim 14 lbs is a little big for a cat but just about right for a dog.

Yeah right Snowy. When I popped in to see Clare this morning Baby Bob went berserk but he's learned not to jump up to anybody - he'd knock 'em for six!

Wow. What a dog! A mastiff or something similar? Gotta have an extra big car to haul him places.

Thanks for dropping by Kerry.
Yep, Bob is a hefty boy, rescued to replace the much loved Marley, same breed.

Bob is only about 14 months old and is growing at a rate of knots. This breed, Dogue de Bordeaux, was apparently used as guard dogs for the nobility in France. Bob would probably have failed the entrance test for such work as he is so lovingly childish. However, he LOOKS as though he could rip your head off if given the necessary training.

You are a canny photographer Kerry. 'Canny' is the local dialectic of parts of the UK and means shrewd, clever, smart etc. Just in case you are not familiar with the word. And why should you be!
