New Adoption - 10 months old, Dogue de Bordeaux

Daughter Clare had to say 'Goodbye' to her lovely Dogue de Bordeaux 'Marley Moo' a couple of weeks ago.  A hard step, but also the kindest, to take him to his final sleep.

Yesterday, Clare drove two-and-a-half hours to Manchester to collect a 10-months old 'rescued' puppy and is over-joyed with this 'ginger bundle of joy'.

So pleased that her sadness at the loss of Marley Moo has melted into gladness with re-homing her new charge.

Wonder what his name will be? Hmm... I'll find out today.

Losing app is such a sad time in ones life. Giving a new little guy (or girl) a home is very healing... I wish them lots of happy hours of companionship.

Thanks Shadow. He is such a beauty. A tiny bit shy but soon got over all the 'newness'.

And he is a really BIG baby. At 10 months he looks almost full grown but by the size of his paws he's gonna be a real gentle giant.

So pleased for my daughter; she has found a wonderful beau.

We went through that in 2004 and again this year. Now dog number 3, dumb as a rock but knows how to listen.

Cheers Mark. I don't think I could go thru the pain of loss when one's companion pooch dies. Clare is so pleased to have Bob (that's his new name of course) and so am I.

Oh Bob the dog - fabulous! So glad she found him...

Let us know about that name. I'm sure (having been through the same thing a few times) that her gladness won't permanently take the grief away, but her new dog will serve as a consolation..

Oh, so his name is Bob. I should have read the responses first.

We love our fur babies like family. When we lose one it's so difficult. I'm so glad a new baby in the family helps to heal the pain.
