A Beautiful Woman - How to be one

A friend in Australia sent me this recently. I think it's worth more than just a look.
Audrey Hepburn wrote the following when asked to share her 'beauty tips .'

It was read at her funeral years later.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

If you share this with another person you will boost her self esteem, and she will know that you care about her.

How beautiful !
In this world of plastic surgery, and man-made everything, it is so refreshing and sincere.
She was such a natural beauty herself.
Thanks for sharing....

I would change the heading to "A Beautiful Person-How to be one"

As this would apply equally for men and women.

She was a real beauty inside and out.

Thanks for your comments. Angelina, you're probably right in that this should apply to men as well but I just left it as my friend sent it to me.

I thought the sentiments of Audrey Hepburn were just right; I'd not come across her advice before today. She was a superb actress and a true beauty in every sense of the word.

I especially like the tip on having two hands - perfectly stated and one we can all use and remember.

This is something we should all have hanging on a wall where we can reference it often. I loved Ms Hepburn, such beauty and grace. She was a terrific ambassador for the UN. A true lady.

And Audrey was one of the most beautiful, wasn't she?

She had as much a way with words as she did with hats!

That's why Audrey Hepburn is still the template for all women and the most elegant woman who ever lived.

Philip, is all well where you are? I hope you're just very busy with all that life contains, and taking a bit of a break from the blogosphere...but I'll admit to being a tad concerned simply because I know your wife had surgery not that long ago.

Everyone all right over there on The Borders?

Beauty is more than skin deep. Audrey Hepburn had a beautiful soul.

And some very wise words.
