The Search for Madeleine Continues

The heartache of the parents goes on, and on ... they will never give up their search for the daughter who was snatched from their lives over two years ago.

I can think of nothing worse than not knowing where one's child is. What has happened to her. Is she well, or being abused. Or has she been murdered.

You might say otherwise. You may say that the death of a child is far worse. But at least you know what has happened.

Not knowing must be a constant nightmare. A terrible thing to have to live with. So I hope more blogs will include this video - it is available on youtube and the more widespread it becomes the more chance there is that SOMEBODY will give the parents the lead they pray for.

I hope so. I sincerely hope so.

I couldn't imagine not knowing the whereabouts of my child. Not knowing would drive me crazy. I don't know how these people go on.

I agree... the "not knowing" has to be far worse. I pray her family finds some peace.
Thank you for posting this!

My heart breaks for parents who must endure such a tragedy. The chasm left from never knowing what happened to your child must be utter hell.

I so agree with you --the not knowing and imagining would be living nightmare beyond description. These recent cases in the last few years of girls and boys who have been found after years of imprisonment and abuse is so horrific one can only hope in one sense they died right away. I know, sounds awful. It's so so so sad. There is truly evil i this world.

Well done for posting that Philip. I hope it jogs the mind of someone who knows something. With her very distinctive eye marking, I am sure that one day, she will be recognized. Let it be soon, please.
Blessings, Star

Not knowing is a parent's nightmare, but there are stories of children who were snatched and recovered later. I would endure the not knowing, if it were a probability that the child will be returned. Either way, one does not really know how they would react until they find themselves in that position.

Thank you for this post, and perhaps it will trigger someone's memory.

I saw this update on our news also. Hopefully there will be a happier ending to this...by some miracle. We had a miracle happen here in St. Louis a couple of years ago where a child was found and returned to his parents. I know it doesn't happen very often, but we can still hope.

This is very sad. I do hope that her parents will find her. Not knowing certainly brings its own torment to loved ones.

That was always my worst nightmare when my daughter was small.

At first I thought little Madeleine was probably dead before her parents found her missing. But then I read the story of Jaycee Dugard, and how she was found 18 years later, and it makes me think that perhaps Madeline might still be alive.

Her parents must be in anguish.

Philip, I don't know how to use a blogger video link in terms of copying it for posting. I have seen this video nearly everywhere I've gone in some capacity, several of the search engine homepages have linked to it.

If there is a way for her to be found, hopefully she very soon will be. It is the not knowing that must be sheer torture.
