Cheers Marion. I am well cheesed off with Blogger's little whims. They keep adding bits which don't help. I hardly bother with it lately. Hope you are a little happier today. x
I enjoyed the song. I wish I had a mellow voice like that.
People used to take baths and comb their hair! Ha. I used to grump about all the different occasions that a person had to dress up for. Now I grump about how slovenly people look--most people don't even wear suits to funerals anymore. The fad seems to be fading (thankfully), but for a while there, I was literally seeing people walking about in their pajamas.
"Who can't be cheered in July with so many flowers blooming in the hot sunshine?"
You like hot sunshine?! Wow, give me the flowers, but I'll pass on the heat. One of the things I liked best about moving to the Pacific Northwest was that the temperature only reached ninety for ten days ae year, but global warming is putting and end to that. The glaciers in the nearby mountains are melting rapidly. Last I heard, there were sixty major wildfires in Oregon; and the temperature on my home thermometer has been at or over a hundred every day for a couple of weeks.
I'd never heard that before. So true!! Your posts aren't coming up on my reading list, for some reason. xo
