I spend time thinking of all those I've known and loved, many of whom are long departed from this increasingly hazardous world of ours.
Sometimes I look back at some of my earlier posts and it's good to be able to remind myself of a few things about 'old friends'.
A chap called Alan Parkes was a man I read about in "The Times" Diary column some years ago. He and I met after I wrote to him via the article in the newspaper above.

Hope it works OK.

Not looking back in anger!
I wonder whether today they still have that law in South Africa - leave the country, but without your money. Cruel, very unfair.
Alan Parkes was a fine gentleman. You know how to pick your friends.
Thanks Dura. Alan was one of nature's true Gents, he really was.
I enjoyed your Wailing Wall post, and others. Sadly, l can't leave comments on some Blogger posts as the system seems to ignore my response.x X's
Sorry, Dura!
So sorry AGAIN Duta! Something keeps changing "t" to "r". Apologies.
Even his name makes me want to sit up straight and proper, a life lived, that's what I wish for too.
Shadow^^^^^up there has the all attainable goal.Sadly unlike her, yourself, and Mr. Parks too many ignore the will to really live Philip. I should do this one day--look back on my previous posts--ahh but then I'd start editing and most likely change them to something completely different.
Be Well and in continued health.
Thanks Mark. I hope you are as well as possible and that your locality is peaceful this weekend. Best wishes dear wordsmith.
